Camp Abilities Brockport is administered and managed by a variety of staff who devote a tremendous amount of time, energy, effort, and other resources each year to ensure that camp is always a success for not only the athletes who attend but everyone else involved as well. Director - Lauren Lieberman
- Lauren Lieberman, PhD, earned her doctorate in adapted physical education at Oregon State University with an emphasis on sensory impairments. She taught at Perkins School for the Blind. Lieberman is currently a professor and teaches APE at The College at Brockport, State University of New York. She has co-authored several books including: Strategies for Inclusion, Games for People with Sensory Impairments, Going Places: Transition Guidelines for Physical Activity for Children with Visual Impairments, Paraeducators in Physical Education, and continues to do research in this area. Assistant Director - Alex Stribing
Alex Stribing, PhD, earned her bachelor's and Master's degree from the College at Brockport in Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education. Alex was the Camp Abilities Brockport graduate assistant during her masters program in 2015-2017. She obtained her Ph.D in in Motor Behavior and Special Education at The University of South Carolina. Her research interests are in the field of visual impairment focusing on self, parent and meta-perceptions.

Graduate Assistants
Liz Spencer
Liz earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a concentration in outdoor adventure education from SUNY Cortland in May 2022. She is in her second year as a Camp Abilities Graduate Assistant. Liz will graduate from the Adapted Physical Education program with her Master's degree from Brockport in May 2024. Liz has been a coach at Camp Abilities Brockport and Delaware.
Matt Brack
Matt earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a concentration in adapted physical education from SUNY Cortland in the fall of 2022. He is in his first year as a Camp Abilities Graduate Assistant. Matt will graduate from the Adapted Physical Education program with his Master's degree from Brockport in May 2025. Matt has been a coach at Camp Abilities Brockport and Saratoga.
Kelsey Williams
Kelsey earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a concentration in adapted physical education from SUNY Brockport in May 2023. She is serving as the Lavelle Graduate Assistant, and worked with Lavelle in her undergraduate as well. Kelsey will graduate from the Adapted Physical Education program with her Master's degree from Brockport in May 2024. Kelsey has been a coach at Camp Abilities Brockport.
